Kaufman County is one of the 11 counties of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and is enjoying the rapid growth and economic development trend in North Texas. It has a colorful history, not the least of which is having been the inspirational home of famed American Western artist Frank Reaugh, known as the “Dean of Texas Painters.” Home to Kaufman, Forney, Terrell, and several other growing towns and communities, Kaufman County is easy to reach from the Dallas area, bisected by several interstates and state highways.
Kaufman County Commissioners Court authorized the use of PACE financing in 2023, naming Lone Star PACE as the program administrator.
